Astro IT help requested by dhale at astro.caltech.edu:
Hi, what would you recommend for doing backups of our lab computers? We
have a couple of older linux machines, cooelab1, cooelab3, which I
really rely on. They’ve gotten so old I can’t update them. Cooelab1 is
Red Hat Enterprise Linux Server release 5.8 (Tikanga) and cooelab3 is
5.10. Before the lockdown I seem to remember trying unsuccessfully to
mount an external hard drive. Maybe there’s a network storage solution
we could use? Dave.
